SAAM Internet Flash Website
Project ScopeDevelopment of a Flash website acting as a marketing tool for the SAAM Application.SAAM (System for traffic Assignment and Analysis at Macroscopic level) is an integrated system for wide or local design, evaluation, analysis and presentation of Air Traffic Airspace / TMA scenarios. Main ConceptsAirspace Modelling - Organize traffic flowUsers can create/change/design both air traffic route networks, including CDR operation, and any airspace volume shape in 3D. Full 4D trajectories, based on any traffic demand (past, actual or future) can be generated and applied on any airspace structure. |

![]() Airspace Analysis - Traffic queries Different sources of data can be selected for analysis and comparisons; CFMU flight plan, CFMU CPR data, imported radar data (including ASTERIX) or simply data coming out from SAAM modelling tools. Many traffic queries can be combined and applied on the 4D traffic trajectories. For instance, the user can request flight trajectories based on departure, arrivals, route points, companies, crossed sectors, aircraft type, etc. ![]() Airspace Visualization and presentation - GIS SAAM is entirely built on 2D/3D/4D Geographical Information System (GIS) with the possiblity of generating time based animations. To add more realism, SAAM can also manage and generate stereo information (with specific hardware like stereo glasses). All modelling and analysis activities are integrated in this GIS platform and fully benefit from the 3D visualization, animation and stereo. For instance, you can design your airspace in 3D to check interaction while aircrafts are flying on their 3D trajectories. ![]() Overview of Airspace Design Studies realized with SAAM SAAM designs and evaluations are prepared by EUROCONTROL Airspace, Network Planning and Navigation Unit (APN). Numereous local design studies have successfully been achieved in the last 10 years. ![]() |
